Estudio de caso: agroecología y comercialización en mercados de cercanía, Alto Valle del Río Negro

La agroecología viene creciendo de la mano de consumidores organizados que reclaman el acceso a alimentos sanos y saludables, y la iniciativa de agricultores familiares conscientes de la necesidad de promover sistemas alimentarios sostenibles, que sean resilientes frente al ecocidio al que nos está llevando el sistema tradicional de producción y consumo. Luego de dos años de una pandemia anunciada, consecuencia de la destrucción sistemática del ambiente y el delicado equilibrio que sustenta la vida en el planeta, las causas que lo provocaron continúan profundizándose, acelerando otras pandemias como son la pobreza, desnutrición y malnutrición. Otras formas de producir y consumir son posibles y necesarias, la agroecología como base para la soberanía alimentaria, la construcción de nuevos mercados para el abastecimiento popular de alimentos sanos, a través de la participación
de diferentes actores sociales y la creación de tramas de agregado de valor económico, social, ambiental, cultural y político, resultan urgentes en este contexto.
Esta investigación exploratoria tiene el propósito de indagar el desarrollo de la producción agroecológica, biodinámica y en transición, en la región del Alto Valle de Río Negro y sus estrategias de comercialización en mercados de cercanía. Primero, a través de entrevistas a informantes clave, se estimará la población aproximada, para luego realizar algunos estudios de caso a experiencias seleccionadas a posteriori en el territorio de la AER INTA Roca. La hipótesis guía es: la agroecología se afianza en la región, de la mano de agricultores familiares, organizaciones sociales y consumidores, que impulsan un modelo alternativo de producción, comercialización y consumo de alimentos sanos, de calidad y a precio justo. Estos nuevos mercados de cercanía responden más a la economía social y solidaria, a fortalecer la organización comunitaria y aportar a la soberanía alimentaria.
