Evaluación vegetativa y productiva de la var. Fiesta sobre espaldero adaptado al sistema dry on vine para cosecha mecánica

Abstract

En San Juan la producción de pasas de uva es una actividad relevante. El sistema de secado en planta o Dry On Vine ahorra mano de obra y permite la mecanización de la cosecha. En Argentina, el Dry On Vine se practica en Parral con limitantes en la mecanización. Por esto, se evaluó el comportamiento de la var Fiesta sobre un Espaldero DOV (doble y simple) para cosecha mecánica. El diseño fue completamente aleatorizado. Con el programa INFOSTAT se hizo un ANAVA y ACP de las variables vegetativas y productivas. Se midió el área foliar con el programa IMAGE J, para calcular una ecuación de regresión. Se determinó la eficiencia de cosecha mecánica y manual en cada Espaldero DOV y la calidad organoléptica y física de la pasa. Los resultados fueron: mayor cantidad de brotes, número de racimos (estadísticamente significativo) y rendimiento en el Espaldero Doble. En el Espaldero Simple hubo mayor peso de poda (estadísticamente significativo), longitud de brotes y mayor área foliar. El calibre de la baya fue similar para ambos Espalderos DOV. La eficiencia de la cosecha mecánica en el Espaldero Doble fue mayor que la cosecha manual en el Espaldero Simple (estadísticamente significativo). La calidad organoléptica fue similar en ambos Espalderos DOV. Las pasas recolectadas en el Espaldero Simple tuvieron mayor cantidad de incrustaciones, bronceado y líneas gruesas; sin embargo, fueron más pesadas (estadísticamente significativo). El tamaño de las pasas fue similar para ambos espalderos. La calificación general fue buena; por lo tanto y hasta el momento, los Espalderos DOV son una alternativa para la producción de pasas de Fiesta que permite la mecanización de la cosecha, sin perjudicar el equilibrio de las plantas y la calidad de las pasas.

In San Juan the production of raisins is a relevant activity. The plant whit Dry On Vine saves labor and allows mechanization of harvesting. In Argentina, the Dry On Vine is practiced in Parral (similar to Overhead Arbor) with limitations in harvesting mechanization. For this, a DOV Vertical Shoot Positioning (VSP) was evaluated with two variations: Double VSP and Simple VSP on Fiesta with four years in a completely randomized design. Vegetative and productive variables were analyzed with ANOVA and PCA using INFOSTAT software. In addition, leaf area was measured with the IMAGE J software, and a regression equation was calculated. Also, the efficiency of mechanical and manual harvesting was determined. Finally, the organoleptic and physical qualities of the raisin were evaluated. The results were a greater number of shoots, number of clusters (statistically significant) and yield in the Double VSP. In the Simple VSP there was greater pruning weight (statistically significant), shoot length and greater leaf area. The caliber of the berry was similar for both VSP. The efficiency of mechanical harvesting in the Double VSP was higher than manual harvesting in the Simple VSP (statistically significant). The organoleptic quality was similar in both DOV VSP. The raisins collected from the Simple VSP had a higher amount of incrustations, tanning and thick lines; however, they were heavier (statistically significant). The size was similar for both VSP. The overall rating was good. Until now, DOV VSP are an alternative for the production of raisins Fiesta that allows the mechanization of the harvest, without harming the balance of the plants and the quality of the raisins.
