dc.description.abstractThe apolitical nature of the IPCC provides a valuable balance in the climate change debate. Agroforestry systems are considered a solution to maintain agriculture, soil capacity, and erosion control. The question that arises is whether agroforestry can sustain productivity, specifically in yerba mate production. Comparative studies on different management systems, including monoculture and mixed cultivation, reveal that there is no loss of green leaf yield in Yerba mate-tree associated systems.
