Evaluación de los efectos de distintos portainjertos sobre características productivas de dos variedades de melocotón

Abstract

Con la finalidad de contribuir a la selección de portainjertos de melocotonero alternativos para la zona frutícola del Noreste de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, se evaluó la influencia de patrones de diferente origen genético y comportamiento agronómico sobre la expresión de caracteres productivos de los cultivares de melocotonero 'Flor­daking' y 'Flavorcrest' [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch]. Los portainjertos utilizados fueron: 'Cuaresmillo Merlo', 'Cuaresmillo Catamarca', 'Cuaresmillo La Rioja', 'GF 305', 'Nemaguard', 'Montclar' y 'Rubira'. Las variables medidas fueron el diámetro de tronco (DT), el rendimiento anual (REND) y acumulado por planta (RAC),la eficiencia productiva (EP) y el peso promedio de los frutos (PPFR). Las variables inherentes al vigor y a la productividad, fueron significativamente afectadas por el patrón, la interacción genotipo x portainjerto (excepto sobre el PPFR), las condiciones del año y su interacción con la combinación variedad/pie. Para el período de la experiencia, 'Rubira' produjo combinaciones productivas con ambas variedades, mientras 'Flordaking' lo hizo, además, con 'C. Merlo', 'C. Catamarca', 'Nemaguard' y 'GF 305'. 'Rubira' originó, con los dos cultivares ensayados, las combinaciones con la EP significativamente más alta. Se obtuvieron correlaciones positivas, independientemente de la variedad ensayada, solamente entre REND, EP y RAC.

With the purpose of contributing to peach rootstocks selection suitable to the fruit growing area in the northeast of the Buenos Aires Province, the effects of rootstocks with different genetical origin and agronomical performance, over the expression of productive traits of 'Flordaking' and 'Flavorcrest' peach cultivars [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] were evaluated. The tested rootstocks were 'Cuaresmillo Merlo', 'Cuaresmillo Catamarca', 'Cuaresmillo La Rioja', 'GF 305', 'Nemaguard', 'Montclar' and 'Rubira', all of them belonging to P. persica species. Vigour and productivity were significatively affected by the rootstock, genotype x rootstock interaction (except far average fruit weight), the year and its interaction with variety/rootstock combination. 'Rubira' gave productive scions with 'Flavorcrest' and 'Flordaking', meanwhile 'Flordaking' also did it with 'C. Merlo', 'C. Catamarca', 'Nemaguard' and 'GF 305'. Yield efficiency was significatively the highest with both cultivars grafted on 'Rubira'. Positive correlations were obtained, independently the tested cultivar, only among yield and yield efficiency.
