Introduction: Salmonella Enteritidis (SE) and S.Typhimurium (ST) are the two most important zoonotic Salmonella serovars and, together with biosecurity measures, the use of livevaccines isthemainstrategy to reduce the transmission of the pathogens to humans. Therefore, alternative routes of application should be considered in order to guarantee the correct dose intake of the vaccinein 1-day-oldchicks.
