| spa |
dc.description.abstract | Sugarcane crop in Argentina promotes the territorial development and the value-added products. The use of seed cane as multiplication method brings the propagation of systemic diseases, like those caused by viruses. Yellow leaf disease is worldwide studied. In Argentina, since the detection of Sugarcane yellow leaf virus (SCYLV) in 2002 to date, there are not conclusive epidemiological studies that contribute to the knowledge neither of the disease’s behavior nor on the productive and economic disease impact in cane fields of the northwest Argentinian. The aims of this work were to determine the distribution and intensity of SCYLV, identify the viral genotypes presents and estimate sucrose yield decrease and the consequent economic impact. | eng |
