Emergencia postinvernal y fluctuación poblacional de adultos del picudo perforador de la caña de azúcar, Acrotomopus atropunctellus (Boheman) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo fue caracterizar la dinámica de emergencia postinvernal de Acrotomopus atropunctellus (Boheman) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) y su fluctuación poblacional en la localidad de Ranchillos, departamento Cruz Alta, Tucumán. El monitoreo de emergencia se realizó semanalmente de noviembre a abril durante las campañas 2011/2012, 2012/2013 y 013/2014, mediante jaulas de hierro enterradas sobre los surcos de caña de azúcar (Var LCP 85-384). Se estimó la fecha fija de comienzo de acumulación de temperatura y el umbral térmico inferior y superior. Las fechas de comienzo de acumulación térmica probadas fueron 1° de enero y 1° de julio; los umbrales térmicos inferiores abarcaron de 4°C a 15°C y los umbrales térmicos superiores fueron 30°C, 32°C y 34°C. Se calculó el coeficiente de variación (CV) de los grados-día acumulados requeridos para el cumplimiento de 25, 50 y 75% de emergencia a través de las tres campañas para cada combinación. El monitoreo de adultos se realizó semanalmente durante el mismo período que el monitoreo de emergencia. La fecha de inicio para la acumulación térmica y la combinación de parámetros de desarrollo que arrojaron el menor CV a través de los años de estudio fueron el 1° de enero, con un umbral térmico inferior de 9°C y umbral térmico superior de 32°C. El período de emergencia de adultos de A. atropunctellus en las campañas 2011/2012, 2012/2013 y 2013/2014 duró 123, 141 y 132 días, y 2082, 2284 y 2087°Días, respectivamente. La correlación entre la precipitación y la emergencia semanales no resultó significativa (r= -0,02; p= 0,90). Lo mismo ocurrió al analizar la correlación entre precipitación acumulada y emergencia acumulada a una escala de dos semanas (r= 0,11; p= 0,42). La proporción sexual en las tres campañas no difirió significativamente de 1:1. La densidad poblacional de adultos del picudo de la caña de azúcar en las campañas varió entre 0,13-0,67, 0,03-1,57 y 0,06-1,13 picudos.m-1, respectivamente.

The objective of this work was to characterize the dynamics of post-winter emergence of Acrotomopus atropunctellus (Boheman) (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) and its population fluctuation at Ranchillos, Tucumán.
