Abstract

La naturaleza nos brinda un sinfín de ideas para el desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías más sustentables y ecológicamente superiores. En el presente trabajo se describen, brevemente y con algunos ejemplos, los materiales biológicos y sus características como así también algunas de las superficies biológicas que poseen interesantes propiedades funcionales. Se concluye con un resumen de esta nueva ciencia denominada biomimética.
