To achieve good yields it is necessary to protect it from pest insects. This protection is carried out mainly with pesticides that affect and increase production costs and pollute the environment. As an alternative to reduce the volumes of pesticides used, the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) technology has been developed. The present work carried out in the San Justo department of the province of Santa Fe, aims to know the degree of adoption of said technology by soybean producers. The results indicate that: none of the producers adopts IPM technology, most have a low degree of knowledge about it and 85.7% do not trust it to protect their crops from pests. On the other hand, all the producers do not present limitations of operational capacity to apply IPM, and in turn, the majority expressed a positive assessment of the technology based on how it affects: the production costs of the crop, the environment and on the time required for its implementation. Among the conclusions, the scarce knowledge that the producers have of the IPM technology and the lack of confidence that is appreciated in said technology among the interviewees stands out. These factors could be the keys to explain the non-adoption of IPM in soybean in the producers interviewed.eng
