Vegetative propagation of four Argentinian provenances of Neltuma spp
Abstract
Neltuma chilensis and N. flexuosa (mesquite, ex Prosopis) are well-adapted and multi-purpose native species trees of arid and semiarid regions of Argentina that produce high quality timber wood, charcoal, firewood, fruit and foliage for foraging, beside of flour suitable for consumption by celiacs.

Illegal logging of elite trees in natural forests has caused major losses for the genetic diversity. Vegetative propagation techniques can enable the rescue of adult trees and propagation at scale.
The aim of this study was to investigate the adventitious rooting capacity of Neltuma via minicuttings technique.
