Primera detección de alfalfa mosaic virus en plantas de Lavandin Super en Argentina
Abstract
En la Argentina, el cultivo de lavandas (incluidos los lavandines) se encuentra principalmente en las provincias de Río Negro, Córdoba, Mendoza, San Luis y Buenos Aires. En la Argentina, el cultivo de lavandas (incluidos los lavandines) se encuentra principalmente en las provincias de Río Negro, Córdoba, Mendoza, San Luis y Buenos Aires. Su producción tiene amplios destinos, desde la obtención de flores secas y aceite esencial hasta su industrialización en productos de perfumería, cosmética y desodorización ambiental; además, presenta valor ornamental y repelente de insectos. En un cultivo ubicado en la provincia de Córdoba, se detectaron plantas de Lavandín Super (Lavandula angustifolia x latifolia) con síntomas virales de moteado y mosaicos cloróticos, similares a los causados por el alfalfa mosaic virus (AMV; familia: Bromoviridae, género: Alfamovirus). El objetivo del presente fue investigar la presencia de AMV en muestras de Lavandin Super que presentaban los síntomas mencionados. El test serológico (DAS-ELISA) con antisueros comerciales específicos al AMV resultó positivo. Se realizaron RT-PCRs con oligonucleótidos para el gen de la cápside proteica (CP) del AMV y los amplicones obtenidos se enviaron a secuenciar (Macrogen).
