Resumen
El presente trabajo reporta el hallazgo de especímenes de Rhipicephalus microplus (garrapata común del bovino) parasitando a dos ciervos exóticos Axis axis encontrados atropellados en dos líneas temporales (2021 y 2023) en el norte de la provincia de Entre Ríos, Argentina. Ambos registros, se encuentran dentro del área ecológicamente apta para R. microplus y constituyen los primeros hallazgos de dicha asociación parásito-hospedador para la Argentina, así

El presente trabajo reporta el hallazgo de especímenes de Rhipicephalus microplus (garrapata común del bovino) parasitando a dos ciervos exóticos Axis axis encontrados atropellados en dos líneas temporales (2021 y 2023) en el norte de la provincia de Entre Ríos, Argentina. Ambos registros, se encuentran dentro del área ecológicamente apta para R. microplus y constituyen los primeros hallazgos de dicha asociación parásito-hospedador para la Argentina, así como también para la región del Neotrópico. El presente reporte expone la necesidad de ahondar en dicha asociación parásito-hospedador a fin de determinar un potencial riesgo epidemiológico.
