Evaluación de Brachiaria brizantha y Eucalyptus grandis (Hill ex. Maiden) en un sistema silvopastoril en el departamento Santo Tomé, Corrientes (Argentina) = Evaluation of Brachiaria brizantha and Eucalyptus grandis (Hill ex. Maiden) in silvopastoral systems in Santo Tome, Corrientes (Argentina)

Abstract

En este estudio se comparó la producción de forraje de Brachiaria brizantha de un sistema silvopastoril y otro a cielo abierto. Se determinó también la producción de madera dentro del sistema, utilizando dos clones comerciales de Eucaliptus grandis (2155 y 2136) que produjeron 132 y 110 m3/ha respectivamente a los 7 años de crecimiento. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas entre los clones, donde el crecimiento del clon 2155 fue superior al clon 2136 en cuanto al diámetro a la altura del pecho (DAP), altura, volumen de madera y altura de copa. En cuanto a la producción de forraje de B. brizantha a cielo abierto mostró mayor rendimiento promedio con diferencias significativas en materia seca (1885 kg/ha) en comparación con el sistema silvopastoril (1181 kg/ha).

This study compares the forage production of Brachiaria brizantha from a silvopastoral and an open-air system and the wood production within each system using two commercial clones (2155 and 2136) of Eucalyptus grandis that produced 132 and 110 m3/ha. respectively at 7 years of growth. The results showed significant differences between the clones, where the growth of clone 2155 was superior to clone 2136 in terms of DBH, height, wood volume and crown height at the seventh. Regarding forage production, the open-air system showed yields with significant differences in dry matter (1885 kg/ha) compared to that produced on average under the silvopastoral system (1181 kg/ha).
